PLANT THE SEED

“But man is a part of nature, and his war against nature is inevitably a war against himself.” -Rachel Carson

We are fighting for a livable planet, a sustainable economy, and a secure future for our children and grandchildren. In order to implement our initiatives and accomplish the objectives laid out in our Strategic Plan, we are bringing together a grand coalition of friends and allies to create change both locally and globally.

What is the ‘Red Oak Society’?

We are friends of the trees. We are wilderness guardians and water protectors. We are individuals from many places and backgrounds brought together by a shared dedication to defending the natural world. We are combining our ideas, strategies, and tactics to employ in the ongoing struggle for Indigenous Sovereignty, Sustainable Development, and Ecological Preservation.

FAQs

The Red Oak Society presents a bold vision of growing from a grassroots organization of like-minded neighbors into a transformative force for conservation and climate action. Each phase of the Strategic Plan is practical, ambitious, and deeply rooted in our commitment to Indigenous sovereignty, public land protection, sustainable development, and community resilience. Reading our Strategic Plan is the best way to understand not only what we’re fighting for, but exactly how we plan to get there and how you can be part of making it happen.
